About
Funkies by Teebs is a one-person production from start to finish. Each piece is meticulously crafted with one thing in mind: standing out. I aim to create unique, sustainable, size-inclusive fashion that represents the real you.I started my crochet journey by whittling a hook out of a pencil and thrifting a skein of yarn. A year and a half later, I amassed enough knowledge to freehand designs on the fly and create my own patterns. That's not to say I'm an expert— I still have a lot to learn, but I welcome challenges because they allow me to find creative solutions and make art by any means possible.Funkies by Teebs operates on the unceded territories of the Halkomelem speaking peoples. HOW TO ORDER:
Tops:
1. Open and download the Design Sheet of the corresponding item you wish to order. The design sheets feature a blank drawing of the item on which you may draft your idea (use a dedicated drawing software, MS Paint, or print the sheet out and draw on it, then take a photo/scan it).2. Use the measuring guide below to take accurate measurements of yourself. Be mindful of how roomy or tight you want your item to fit, as the garment will be made strictly to the measurements provided.3. Download and fill out all the fields in the Commission Request Form. Email the form to [email protected] and I will get back to you between 24-48 hours!Please include inspiration/example images in your email to help explain your concept, if applicable.

Frequently asked questions
How do you price your items?
The base price of as-is products is $30, plus $5/hr for every hour worked. Yarn and other material costs are not included in the base price. They vary depending on material (e.g. natural fibers are more expensive) and amount required. Items are priced in a way that allows a fair profit for me, while keeping items affordable for you. Custom orders may be priced higher depending on design complexity, material cost, and/or expedited delivery. A quote will be provided upon assessment of your submitted Commission Request Form files and/or As-Is Product order form.
How do I pay for my order?
Funkies by Teebs currently accepts cash, Interac e-Transfer, and PayPal payments for all garments. You can also pay through Ko-Fi by using the Donate button. All prices are in USD$ and payment contact details will be provided upon confirmation of your commission.Note: All orders require a pre-payment of 25% to secure your order and acquire materials. The other 75% may be paid upon project completion. Please note that the pre-payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.
How do I receive my order?
The Commission Request Form will ask for a shipping address. The price of shipping will vary depending on order size, so please wait for a quote upon assessment of your request form. If you live in the Metro Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, or Coquitlam areas (BC CANADA), you may choose to pick your order up in person. If this is the case, please contact me for arrangements.
How long will it take for my order to be completed?
Each garment is made by one person from the design conception to the final stitch. After the initial consultation and project confirmation, please allow up to eight weeks for your item to be completed. The following changes to your order are possible within the following time frames:
- Colour changes, minor design changes: 1 week
- Size fluctuations: 2 weeks
Can I refund my order?
If you are not satisfied with your garment, please reach out to me and I will try my best to resolve the issue. If you remain unsatisfied, you may return the item in its unworn, unaltered state and receive a refund of 75% of sale price. Please note that the 25% pre-payment is NON-REFUNDABLE, as it covers material costs.
How do I get the most accurate measurement?
The measuring guide (found here) explains how to properly measure your body for the Commission Request Form. Remember two things:
1. Measure in whole units (no "30.7cm" or "16.2in" please, round up or down as necessary)
2. Include the desired spaciousness in your measurements. If your chest is 36in and you want room for movement, list 38in in your form instead of "36 + room to breathe"
What designs can I commission?
Sky's the limit! Let's work together to bring your vision to life, whether you want a simple everyday garment, fan merch of your favourite show, a customized gift for a loved one, or anything and everything in between. If you're unsure whether your idea can be replicated in crochet, don't hesitate to contact me for a quote.
Can I request garments that aren't a sweater, tank top, cardigan, or vest?
To ensure prompt and high-quality delivery, I design garments based on ready-made patterns and sizing charts. However, if you have any other ideas, don't hesitate to reach out to me and I will see what I can do!
What materials do you use?
When placing your order, you have a choice of requesting yarn types: acrylic, wool, cotton, or bamboo. Please disclose any allergies to certain fibres.Note: Wool, cotton and bamboo blends cost more by the meter or gram. This will be reflected in the overall quote of your commission request.
Can I purchase ready-made garments?
Yes! My Depop site lists items that I made for practice or for fun. These are typically sold at a discounted price and are in need of a forever home :)
